View of the Promised Land

Taken from Mount Nebo in Jordan. This is where Moses was believed to have died and where God gave him a view of the Promised Land . . .

. . . the ancient city of Jericho to the right, the Dead Sea to the left, and partly covered by mist in this photo is Jerusalem . . .

This is also perhaps the same view that he saw just before he closed his eyes.
