The Sphinx stands guard in front of the pyramid of Chefren. As old as the pyramids themselves, it bears witness to colorful history of this land.
This is the familiar "post card" shot. But still, I like this one personally because of the atmosphere the light sand storm provided.
I must tell you that that sand storm got worse during that day. Just before I boarded our tourist van, I took a last glimpse of this view - and then, as soon as closed the door, the wind blew hard and the entire view was covered with sand.

I don't care often these ruins are photographed but they are always a good sight to see. Nice work!

I agree with Bhavin. While you may find it a typical postcard shot I find is different than the view I have ever seen. It is a magnificent capture. With history of sand storm it is amazing anything is left of these structures. Remarkable.

Well, it really is the familiar postcard shot although instead of the harsh sunlight, I got a nicely diffused and tobacco color cast light which I think made it a little different. Truth is, I've already had this photo exhibited in Manila last September 2007.
Thank you Bhavin and Barbara for appreciating :)

Beautiful work. Easily the best photo of these monuments that I have ever seen. The light is excellent and well used.
